Once every six months, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds a General Conference of the Church. We study each of the addresses delivered by the speakers and then we determine what Heavenly Father is inviting us to do through that speaker. We then discuss these invitations in our weekly podcast, General Conference Applied. At the link we have just provided, we also provide detailed show notes for each podcast episode.
Below, we have provided the invitations we identified by General Conference. We have come closer to our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ by learning from and taking action on General Conference address invitations.
Two verses in the book of Acts sum up what we are attempting to accomplish with General Conference Applied. In Acts 2:37 and Acts 9:6, individuals asked an important question: what should I do? General Conference addresses make us feel good, there’s nothing wrong with that. But we believe our leaders are inviting us to do something. Thus, in General Conference Applied, we will attempt to answer two questions:
- First, what is the speaker inviting me to do?
- Second, how might I consider taking action?
